The group combines the raw power of heavy rock with the expressiveness of garage rock and a potent dose of psychedelia. This unique mix serves as the foundation on which they build their signature WEDGE sound — a magnet for hard-boiled stoner fans and sixties freaks alike.
Their love for the golden era of rock 'n' roll connects them with bands like Wolfmother, The Raconteurs, and The Hellacopters, as well as direct legends like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, MC5, and Grand Funk.
Led by mastermind Kiryk Drewinski (guitar/vocals, ex-Liquid Visions, ex-The Magnificent Brotherhood), alongside Holger Grosser (drums) and David Götz (organ/bass), WEDGE first saw the stage lights in 2014.
Named after the first stone tool in human history, their sound is just as raw, effective, and made from solid rock. Like its archaic namesake, the band uses their WEDGE to spark fire — especially live.
