Weedipus

Weedipus are a Dreampop/Rock band, founded by housemates Zach and Liv during the first lockdown of 2020 in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. U

With the vocal talents of Olivia Thawley and also featuring members of local favourites, Regional Creeps, Weedipus have already released one EP which was mixed by Andrey Pavlovic of Allusinlove. 'Demo Tape' has already seen the band find airtime with Christian Carlisle on BBC Introducing and been met with kind words from Louder Than War Magazine. On lead single 'Places to Go' Andy Brown wrote “The song offers up just the right amount of intrigue for a debut single; a catchy, cool and suitably out-of-focus introduction to a promising new band".

Jump forwards a year and with the world opening up, you could do worse than get to know Weedipus now, with new music on the way and a successful run of gigs such as Tramlines Festival, Get Together Festival a sold out hometown show in Barnsley and another show in Sheffield supporting The Subways, immerse yourself in their lo-fi, DIY dreampop now.

Winning Elephant Arch Records artist call out alongside Before Breakfast and having performed a live session for Popp! Tones, momentum is gathering and this five piece are definitely ones to watch in 2021/22 and beyond.
