At the age of 17, immersed in the confines of a bedroom studio, a musical journey began for the visionary artist now known as Robby Blue. Initially crafting offbeat, avant-garde pop melodies, this trailblazer soon sought a new chapter, traversing to Austin, TX, where a pursuit of Audio Engineering studies further honed his craft.
Embracing the vibrant, competitive Austin music scene, Robby Blue emerged as a distinctive voice, harnessing the nostalgic charm of 1980s and bedroom pop influences. With a band by his side, Robby Blue etched an indelible mark, weaving catchy, yet introspective tunes that resonated beyond the confines of conventionality.
However, driven by an unquenchable desire to delve deeper into the sonic spectrum, a new musical persona emerged—Weekend State. Here, the essence of indie and alternative hues found their canvas, manifesting as a 5-song EP laden with emotive depth and sonic complexity.
Weekend State’s music transcends mere entertainment; it’s a voyage into the minds of those who cloak themselves in the soundtrack of their lives, envisioning each melody as a chapter in his personal narrative.
