Guillermo Farré, a Madrid-based producer and multi-instrumentalist, creates music under the moniker Wild Honey.
His latest release, Morir en otra habitación, is a five-track mini-album that delicately balances fragility, spontaneity, and the everyday. As Guillermo describes in one of his lyrics, the songs capture "slow-motion avalanches"—pieces infused with deep emotional intensity, yet illuminated by the expansive and refined nature of their arrangements.
Co-produced with Remate, the album features contributions from Clara Viñals (Renaldo & Clara), Anna María Biffi, Javier Lorente, and José María Rubio. The lush string arrangements by Sean O’Hagan (The High Llamas) evoke the elegance of Scott Walker, Belle & Sebastian, and the tender qualities of Colin Blunstone. Ali Chant (Aldous Harding, M. Ward, Katy J Pearson) handled the album’s meticulous mixing.
Widely regarded as one of the most inventive figures in Spanish pop music, Guillermo seamlessly balances his work with Wild Honey alongside composing and recording soundtracks. His recent collaborations with fellow Madrid-based musician Remate include standout projects like Esto no es Suecia (2023), La naranja prohibida (2021), Peckinpah Suite(2019), and 2001 Sparks in the Dark (2018).
