His voice and sound blends the raw soul of the ’70s and ’80s with slicker, modern production, always centered around rhythm and groove. Born from a background in improvisation, Ahern's melodies never fail to feel alive. Every line as lyrical as the next - paying homage to his melodies on sax. His music firmly nods to the past but lives confidently in the now.
