Will May and the Mill Ways

Since 2020, Will May has consistently written songs that portray both ends of human emotion. From the highs of love and a lust for life to the grappling lows of pining for connection with a hint of sardonically tinged humor. While penning these songs, May&#39;s desire grew privy to the idea of live performing. Forming in 2022 originally, Will May and the Mill Ways have been performing live frequently in the Central Florida scene ever since. Made up of guitarist/lead vocalist Will May, guitarist/backing vocalist Christian Jacobsen, tenor saxophonist/backing vocalist Wayman D&#39;Aguiar (Jeremy/tenebrum), bassist Julio Andrade, and drummer Lucas Zamora, the band aims to provide people a chance to reflect on their thoughts and emotions while dancing themselves clean. During 2023-2025, May and tenebrum spent time learning to craft a refined album originally written in 2020, being May&#39;s first full album. With the songs already written and arranged, the challenge was to take the music a step further sonically, making the production sound professional with influences from <a href="spotify:artist:0epOFNiUfyON9EYx7Tpr6V" data-name="The Strokes">The Strokes</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4V8LLVI7PbaPR0K2TGSxFF" data-name="Tyler, The Creator">Tyler, The Creator</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1QAJqy2dA3ihHBFIHRphZj" data-name="Cigarettes After Sex">Cigarettes After Sex</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1nJvji2KIlWSseXRSlNYsC" data-name="The Velvet Underground">The Velvet Underground</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:4LLpKhyESsyAXpc4laK94U" data-name="Mac Miller">Mac Miller</a>. The instruments and vocals of this album were recorded entirely by May (minus 2 drum tracks, 1 guitar track, 1 song&#39;s backing vocals, and a few songs&#39; piano/synth tracks). That album is titled &#34;Red Door&#34; and encompasses themes ranging from bliss, tension, romanticism, and acceptance. &#34;Red Door&#34; will be released Fall of 2025.
