William Kent, better known as WillThaRapper, delivers hard-hitting rhymes about inner-city struggles and street life over ominous, trap-inspired beats. Born in Southeast Washington, D.C. but residing in Capitol Heights, Maryland, he started rapping as a teenager, and released his first mixtape in early 2014 at the age of 17. Several more tapes arrived in quick succession over the next few years, and his videos began to accumulate hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube. Following mixtapes such as Street Runner, 19, and 20K, as well as support from <a href="spotify:artist:67nwj3Y5sZQLl72VNUHEYE">Wale</a>, WillThaRapper signed to <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Republic+Records%22">Republic Records</a> in 2017.
