The year was 2020 and the world was experiencing a period of social isolation imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The new reality motivated Marco Mendes (drums and vocals) and Túlio Panzera (guitar and vocals), friends for more than three decades, to start a new musical project online. Partners in previous projects, such as The Tritto, the songs emerged naturally during the virtual rehearsals, with lyrics inspired by the challenges faced by families throughout the period. As soon as the first meetings could be held safely, the duo recruited Matheus Lopes (guitars) and Rodrigo Maia (bass), thus arriving at the current formation of the band.Having participated in several groups that populated São João del Rei from the second half of the 80s, such as Serviço Secreto, Os Escalas, Churrus, Brucutú and the aforementioned The Tritto, the quartet draws from various sources to make a direct and unfussy sound. , which takes us back, especially, to alternative rock from the 90s. The debut album, called Winglets, also features a special appearance by Thiago Uchoa (bassist for The Tritto). The 12 tracks were recorded in a home studio, being mixed and mastered by Bernardo Berg, at Whale B studio. The graphic design of the album was done by illustrator Gabriel Caetano.
In addition to the digital platforms, the album also gets a limited physical version on CDs with cultural support from the companies Sanjoanenses, Café Soberano and Espaço Libertastes!
