'wintertide' is a musical project formed in 2024 and consists of primary songwriters Sophie Davies and Rob Graham. Rooted in Northern England, their music explores the quiet weight of growing up in rural towns, grappling with identity and direction in life. Whilst paying homage to the sounds of the North; sonically, they blend the shimmer of 80s/90s indie icons such as The Smiths, Cocteau Twins, The Stone Roses and The Sundays. They also take great inspiration from other modern influences such as American Football and Ethel Cain.
Their debut album 'you're not who you've been' arrives August 8th, 2025 — a collection of songs shaped by the dissonance between who you are and where you're from, and where you're going.
