Wise Ruby

Wise Ruby is singer/songwriter Julie Livingston. She grew up playing classical piano and listening to all types of music. Julie started writing original music more than 20 years ago. She adopted her late grandmother Ruby's name in 2011 and began performing her original songs in Denton, TX. She released her debut EP, Pioneers, in 2014, and is currently working on a full-length album with her producer Erik Herbst at The Panhandle House in Denton, TX. She was invited to play at Live in the Vineyard, a music festival in Napa Valley, CA, in 2015. Her song, Love, from her Pioneers EP was placed on the season finale promotional trailer "Goodbye Elena" for the CW show "Vampire Diaries" in the spring of 2015. That's when Wise Ruby's Spotify streams took off. Thanks, Spotify! In Julie's upcoming album, you'll hear a lot more songs like "Love." Due in 2020, her new songs are mostly piano-driven ballads from the heart dealing with themes like love, loss, rising above, finding beauty in pain, redemption and forgiveness.
