While recognising the impracticality in modern metal to create music that is entirely novel, they focus instead on stitching together existing styles, inspiration, and compositions and exploring them more deeply; taking them further into new musical conclusions.
Hailing from Southeast Virginia(US),
With a sound that converges their love of everything from classic 80’s Speed, Thrash and Power Metal with more modern Doom, Black and Death Metal, and even adding in a touch of @<a href="spotify:artist:34Ai24gPz5YJ8NbksiNFef" data-name="Mike Patton">Mike Patton</a>-esque aesthetic.
While their lyrical content differentiates from “conventional”, malevolent tropes of death/black metal into more metaphorical, almost poetic, stories of love and emotional struggles;

“Blasphemy-laced Love Songs”
Witchmark. has just finished recording their very first EP, entitled “Coventry” that will release in Fall 2025;
