Wooden Peak have always been a band of quiet exuberance. Since 2008, Sebastian Bode
and Jonas Wolter have been writing, developing and constructing music that trembles
with energy and yet is always restrained. Their new record "Electric Versions" (26th feb 2021) is a
compilation of electrified versions of selected previous tracks.

Guest musicians Wencke Wollny and
Antonia Hausmann blend into the ensemble Wooden Peak as if all this had never been any different.
Sounds, ideas and habits from the last 12 years are transported into the present with
ease, conserving the power of every moment whilst setting it free. Using guitar, sample
park, trombone and bass clarinet, they create clever rhythms and bizarre arrangements,
they draw eccentric images in jarring colours.

Hausmann, Wollny, Bode and Wolter are
firmly grounded in their music, fluctuating between a common core and peripheral
perspectives. They are precise observers, delicate analysts, thrifty fantasists with the
courage of beautiful simplicity. A band of quiet exuberance, vast and still radiant.
