Buffalo’s Wrong the Oppressor is a straight forward, in your face traditional hardcore band with poignant, socially relevant lyrics that highlight societies ills.
The band formed in 1999, playing shows all over the Northeast and Midwest. A solid fan base had been established by the time their debut 7” on Fist Held High Records was to come out. Unfortunately, the label soon folded and by 2002, the band fizzled out of frustration.
Fast forward to 2016. After a successful reunion show, the band decided to give it another go. 2018 saw a brand new track released on Bankrupt Studios “Strictly Buffalo” compilation. 2019 saw the release of the bands anthology through Classic-Core Records, as well as Press Gang Records issuing remaining unreleased material as a cassette maxi single.
2020 will see the release of a 12”/CD on Press Gang/Classic-Core Records entitled “Our Dreams Were Meant To Die”, as well as a 12” version of the ill fated “Picture Perfect Smiles” EP on the resurrected Fist Held High Records label.
The band is ready to hit the ground running once again.
