Xabizo

Born and raised in Mpumalanga, South Africa, Nthabiseng Xabiso Mokadi, known as “Xabizo” has been singing and writing songs from the age of 8 years old. She joined choirs in primary and secondary school. She began her recording career at 15 years old, providing harmony vocals and lyrics for local artists and casually producing music. She then went on to find interest in cultivating her skills in the world of sound beyond her singing. This resulted in her studying at SAE institute where she obtained her qualifications in sound engineering with a Bachelor of Sound in Music Production. The 23 year old blends her music with Deep house, Afro Tech, 3 step and elements of Pop to create her soft, sultry melodies. Her stage name is derived from her second name "Xabiso" which means "Value" in Xhosa, affectionately given to her by her mother. She has been added to house music mixes, radio mixes, and released collaborations under labels like Stay True Sounds, Candid beings records, Be Blak records and Villa Hanger, working with producers; C-blak, Tea white, Hypaphonik, Luka, Double Drop, Leo Guardo, AndileAndy, Ed-Ward, Tebza De SouL, Sef Pico & more.
