Picture a Brooklyn rooftop in the middle of the summer…Loud music vibrates over a peaceful tree-lined street. Ray Charles soaring vocals echo, followed by a Kanye West banger which leads into a Kaytranada bop. An eccentric group of friend’s gathers, wearing a variety of fashion ranging from old vintage t-shirt finds to striped overalls. The sun is shining, a collection of rare IPAs’ are being drunk and life is but a dream. This is where you would find Xander Goodheart, the artist, and human.
Overall Xander's vision for his future is to create thought-provoking accessible music. As an artist, he realizes that his art has the potential to change the way people think, feel, and ultimately carry out their lives. He hopes that with every song there is a clear emotion the listener is left with causing them to think differently about the world. Xander's goal is to create narrative albums that will act as sonic movies, ultimately mixing his background of theater into his current medium of art. Another goal is to create a live act, separate from his recorded work which focuses on musicianship, improvisation, and overall reworks of his recorded material.
