Yiannis Kalomiris

Yiannis Kalomiris was born in Anogia-Crete at 1964.
Musician - composer and lyricist.
Plays Laouto, Bulgari, Mandolin and three string Bouzouki.
He seeks that unique archetype that makes some musicians pure transmitters of music over the centuries.
He has released 2 albums: "Antamosi" and ''Tou Kosmou O Vithos'' .
Also 4 Singles: ''Xasapiko tis Ano polis" , ''Patrida mou einai ta poulia", ''Fourtouniasmeni Thalassa'' and
''Chares kai lypes''.
"Antamosi" released at 2021 is a collection of 24 new Cretan traditional songs and a collaboration with the most famous Cretan singers and musicians: @Psarandonis, Psarogiorgis, Manolakis, Avyssinos,
and B. Stavrakakis.
In 2022 he presents live a new collection of 15 unreleased new Greek songs entitled:
"What’s going to remain, heart is to decide for"

Music arrangement by Yiannis Kiagiadakis.
In 2023 he presents live at the open garden theater "M. Hadjidakis" in Heraklion a new unpublished song collection entitled: "Gia ena Aspalatho".
It contains 15 quite new traditional and urban folk songs.

''Tou Kosmou O Vithos'' is a recently released (2025) by Ogdoo Music Group album with 6 songs for piano and voice.
Famous opera singer Tasis Christogiannopoulos performs that songs with unique sensitivity.
Yiannis Kalomiris lives in Heraklion-Crete with his wife, mezzo soprano, Ioanna Kalogeraki.
