Yo Trane was born in Gabon, a country on the coast of Central Africa, but grew up in Paris. Early in life he developed a deep love of American pop music, learning English by obsessively listening to American artists like <a href="spotify:artist:3fMbdgg4jU18AjLCKBhRSm">Michael Jackson</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5a2EaR3hamoenG9rDuVn8j">Prince</a>. He began pursuing music professionally in his early twenties, releasing his debut EP, Late Night Drive, in 2016.
