Yomi signed with Warner Music Norway in 2017, and used the time to mature as an artist and songwriter. As a young and recently signed artist, Yomi was hungry to create new material, and countless studio sessions resulted in singles such as "Get Closer", "Experience" and "Take It Down". The songs has since its release collected more than 13 million streams on Spotify.
During the summer of 2019, Yomi spent time in Sweden, together with Stockholm-based producer Vinter Boomin, to release his debut EP "Problematic Solutions". The EP, which was released earlier, is about communicating deep emotions. The songs take us into the mind of a young artist who is only 18 years old, and has an independence and reflection that is impressive considering his young age.
Followed by his debut EP, Yomi followed up with the song "Lie Low". A groovy and catchy RnB & Hip Hop track released in June 2020.
This summer, Stovner's golden boy visited a song together with S1sco, "Sigrid Undset", which has received up to 2,9 million streams on Spotify.
Yomi represents a new generation that is not afraid to show authentic feelings. With texts written in Norwegian, he follows in the footsteps of his idols; Arif, Karpe and Cezinando. Whether it's his own experiences, or based on what his friends are going through, Yomi writes about what touches and inspires him.
Yomi is now an independent artist and has a packed release plan for the upcoming year so all you have to do is stay updated!
