Yongolailan is a multidisciplinary Cuban artist based in New York City . With over a decade of experience as a DJ, Producer, and live Electroacoustic Performer, his work explores the intersection of Afro-diasporic rhythm, Caribbean musical heritage, and contemporary electronic languages.

Beyond his work as a performer, Yongolailan is the founder and creative director of <a href="spotify:playlist:2fkFAahy7ZWfPc1cI8342N" data-name="𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐚 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝">𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐚 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝</a>, a Brooklyn-based independent record label dedicated to producing, curating, and amplifying artists rooted in Afro-diasporic and global musical traditions. Through the label, he has produced and collaborated with internationally recognized artists including <a href="spotify:artist:28wtFivtmdKxFRfu57AhBe" data-name="Cimafunk">Cimafunk</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4PoCFDDkJ29rcgBOVTUY5C" data-name="Arema Arega">Arema Arega</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:5maB2WqB6U2Mi7DKZQYmcS" data-name="Yelfris Valdés">Yelfris Valdés</a>.

His debut album, <a href="spotify:album:2Q0jYGvtWPtP4wGf2ljBF9" data-name="Sueño Tropical">Sueño Tropical</a>, which granted a Cubadisco Award (Cuban Grammy), marked a pivotal moment in his artistic journey, fusing Cuban culture and tradition with a forward-looking sonic vision. His most recent album <a href="spotify:album:6gTfW6TkkGGHwySGR0Et8c" data-name="HAVANECE">HAVANECE</a>, is the continuation of the first one, but more influenced by the sound of New York.

In the EPs <a href="spotify:album:2AkaadABEhtzBM1PvV3yF4" data-name="ÔSHUN">ÔSHUN</a> and <a href="spotify:album:3CD1IK7rUzWelFQLTjdTqn" data-name="YEMAYA">YEMAYA</a>, thoroughly explore the sonic realms of Afro-Cuban and Yoruba traditions and incorporating his own voice as a symbol of freedom and inspiring. Also inspiring on them the film director Greth Castillo wrote and directed two short films which won awards at the Florence and Manchester Film Festivals.
