YOU ARE WOLF is the alt-folk project of award-winning British composer, vocalist and author Kerry Andrew.

YOU ARE WOLF presents folk songs and lore with unusual, electronica-tinged arrangements. Their new album, hare // hunter // moth //ghost, explores the theme of transformation following Kerry’s recent experience of four years of debilitating chronic illness and transition to a non-binary identity. The album features collaborations with writers Robert Macfarlane, Nick Hayes and Kerri ní Dochartaigh, and fellow folk artist Sam Lee.

YOU ARE WOLF’s debut album, ‘Hawk to the Hunting Gone’ (Stone Tape, 2014) explored British birds and folklore. Their second album ‘Keld’ (Firecrest Records, 2018) was based around freshwater folklore; it was a Guardian Top Ten Folk Album 2018 and fRoots’ Editor’s Choice! 2018. Their first EP ‘Hunting Little Songs’ was self-released in 2011.

YOU ARE WOLF has performed on BBC Radio 3 and 4. They have supported Billy Bragg at the Manchester O2, and played at The Great Escape, Leigh Folk Festival, Union Chapel, Cambridge Folk Festival and the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
