Younes El Berdaoui is a Moroccan-Belgian oud player, author, composer and singer living in Belgium.
A pharmacist by training, he moved to Brussels in 2006, where he discovered the oud and was introduced to this instrument by the Belgian-Syrian oud player and composer Elias Bachoura. His passion for the oud and for modal music led him through different European countries, Egypt, Greece and Turkey. These musical peregrinations will allow him to perfect his technique as well as his knowledge of the art of the maqam with the greatest masters of the oud such as Yurdal Tokcan, Naseer Shamma, Ahmed Al Khatib. In 2020, he released his first album "Ras El Hanout".
