Let me share a secret about perfection: if you’re chasing flawless, like a painting with every brushstroke in place, you’re bound to hit a wall. The vast, indifferent universe couldn’t care less. Everything decays. Everything yellows. It’s not just autumn leaves or old newspapers that turn banana-colored — teeth, attitudes, and most white T-shirts after three washes. Life itself decays. In short: everything gets worse. Except for two things. Vintage wine and leather. It’s as if nature made a mistake: these things defy the laws of thermodynamics and get better with age. A 1982 cabernet sauvignon? Better than ever. A leather jacket that’s been through divorces and pub brawls? Not worn out, but lived in. And music. Music is forever. Here is what I have made from my corner of the universe so far. I find joy that way, in addition to chasing glittering objects that may not exist. It's all about vision.
