From the organic sound of lofi, to the grimy and dusty sound of boom bap, yud. 's works flourish across the sub-genres that are considered the predecessors to modern-day hip-hop. Inspired by the likes of The Alchemist, 9th Wonder, Madlib to the works of Nujabes and Jinsang, yud. 's music embraces imperfections and organic sounding instrumentation to create something experimental yet chill and overflowing with good vibes.
The young artist was first introduced to hip hop via Kendrick Lamar’s 2017 album “DAMN.” at the age of 12, and quickly got into the art of beat making, sample chopping and manipulation. Born in a middle class family in Vietnam, yud. was exposed to people from all walks of life, which greatly inspired and influenced the unique sound of his music. He started making beats in middle school and began doing so seriously when he reached high school, yud. now sets out to become a full-fledged producer. Though he has yet to gather a large following, yud. is a promising artist with lots of potential.
