Cuban trombonist, singer, and composer Yudith Rojas was born in 2000 in Havana, Cuba. At age 9, she entered the Havana Conservatory of Music, where she studied classical trombone, piano, composition, and jazz improvisation. In 2018, she graduated from the National School of Arts (ENA) with a focus on trombone, music pedagogy, and chamber music, and she later pursued further studies at the Higher Institute of Arts (ISA) in Havana.
Rojas has performed with distinguished Cuban and international groups, sharing the stage with internationally renowned musicians like Trombone Shorty, Bill Evans, Joaquín Betancourt, Carlos Rivera and Mon Laferte, gaining recognition for her versatility as a trombone player.
She has performed at prestigious international venues, including Madison Square Garden in New York, Olympia in Paris, Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, and Kaseya Center in Miami. Her performances have cemented her reputation in both Jazz and Afro-Cuban music.
Currently based between Europe and the Americas, Rojas continues to expand her international career. Her music blends Jazz, Latin Jazz, and Afro-Cuban influences, showcasing her versatility as both a trombonist and a singer. She is known for her dynamic performances, establishing her presence across several musical genres.
