YunGun’s journey in the pursuit of a career in the music industry began when he first experimented with writing lyrics and crafting sounds. Born in Savannah, Georgia, raised in Salinas, CA and, currently a resident of Santa Cruz, CA, YunGun’s greatest achievement in his own eyes, to this date, is that one fan who endlessly searched for his limited time edition CD’s that only had 2 prints. After meeting him, the fan bought them at an extravagant amount, happily. YunGun likes to keep his stage sets simple and interactive, allowing performing at his top potential. He believes in solo performances with a few exceptions of back vocalists to support a few of his songs. YunGun has often been told about the uncanny resemblance he shares with AZ and Nas. But he personally finds the quality of his sound to resemble that of Nas since they both has a deep, raspy vibe. After having shared stage with RBL Posse, YunGun released his latest song, ‘Ask Sumbody’ not too long ago. As of now, he is entirely focused on audio-visual productions, book, and movie writing.
