Yvonne May

Yvonne May is a Nigerian Born singer, songwriter, recording Artist, and a Vocal Coach residing in Johannesburg South Africa.


She released her debut Album ‘Songs From The Book’ in 2014 after the loss of her husband Olumide Obafemi Oduwole.


She then recorded and released her first live album ‘&#64;<a href="spotify:album:4Mq1aMKOMlzLDzGzIpAj91" data-name="Healing Stream (Live at the World of Yamaha, Sandton)">Healing Stream (Live at the World of Yamaha, Sandton)</a>’ in 2019. She has worked with the Voice Nigeria seasons 1 &amp; 2 and has written songs for many South African artists like &#64;<a href="spotify:artist:3WGpAjwdlhofFBmbpaWpKP" data-name="Nqubeko Mbatha">Nqubeko Mbatha</a>, &#64;<a href="spotify:artist:2MQiCFoBRRLIGluap95ny6" data-name="Michael David">Michael David</a> and Desiree Ramaila just to mention a few.


She is a worship Leader and music Director at the City of Zion Church sandton Johannesburg under the leadership of Pastor Tim Mofe Grage.


She released a single in November 2019 titled <a href="spotify:track:1mGbTn81lcwJrDszGlbvhF" data-name="I Carry You">I Carry You</a> a powerful song that speaks about the Christ consciousness of a believer. She released another Single titled <a href="spotify:track:0HbmVQaGtGpyoKEAUPzsfQ" data-name="Fearless">Fearless</a> in December 2020


Yvonne May also wears a hat of a voice over artist and a chef CEO at May&#39;s Kitchen in Johannesburg. She has passion for youth empowerment programs.


Yvonne May’s ultimate goal is to serve God and humanity and preach the gospel through heartwarming and passionate spirit filled music.
