Zaid Hilal is a Palestinian singer, composer, and music arranger from Bethlehem. His defining work has reimagines the contemporary sphere of heritage and sound. His art documents the collective memory and struggle of his people while reimagining folklore for a new generation and blends traditional Palestinian folk music with alternative influences.

Zaid began his musical journey at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music and started to perform his own shows widely across Palestine and internationally in 2026, including at major festivals such as Glastonbury (UK).

Zaid’s debut major work in 2026, “Folklore Promise 1917” (وعد فلكلور 1917) features original compositions written and composed by Zaid himself.
Prominently the single “Libre Palestina (Shel Shel)”, has gathered million of listeners internationally and was widely embraced with many listeners.

Beyond his work as an artist, Zaid is a music educator at the Edward Said Conservatory, where he mentors the next generation of Palestinian musicians, working to preserve and evolve Palestinian music, transforming history in the process.
