Okikiolu Awoyele, professionally known as Zaki Amujei, is a Nigerian Producer, Singer & Songwriter whose cheerful, hardworking and effortlessly creative ‘Persona’ shines through the melodic sounds he creates.
Born on the 7th day of July 1995 in Ijebu-ode, Zaki’s dream of making music started when he was a little boy, he used to follow his mum to the studio to watch her record before dabbling in music as a hobby and taking part in music projects in Ice where he schooled, to finally making it a profession years later. Growing up he gained inspiration from artists such as Wande Coal, Psquare, John Bellion, and Fela Kuti.
Zaki’s music IS A FINE BLEND OF sounds from different genres and subgenres ranging from Afrobeats, R&B and Amapiano. Some of the notable artists he has worked with include Davido, Peruzzi, Tekno, Liya, Superboy, Cheque Chinko Ekun, Mohbad, and most recently, Fireboy on his Playboy Album. We could nail it down to “Afro highlife” off the album and other works. As Zaki aims to give with as much talent as he was given, he will continue to enchant with his music.
Currently, Zaki is a part of the Music Business for Africa Academy 2022 set in which he is part of the Talents chosen to be a part of the talent project to be groomed and developed into being a better artiste and be able to understand how the entertainment business works.
