Zazenkai is the ambient and neo-classical project of German producer Sascha Bauer. Since 2018, he has been crafting deeply calming soundscapes that blend ambient textures, meditative atmospheres and elements of new age minimalism. In 2021, Zazenkai fully dedicated his creative energy to chilled ambient and relaxation music — sound worlds made for meditation, yoga and mindful living. That same year, he began collaborating with Brazilian pianist Angel Ruediger, expanding his sonic palette with cinematic piano and emotional depth.
Beyond his solo work, Sascha curates playlists as Klangspot, which evolved in 2022 into Klangspot Recordings — a boutique label and creative home for artists such as Sid Mellowdy, Lowis Freeman, Kaya Takahara and others who share his vision for tranquil, timeless music. Today, Klangspot Recordings also includes the imprints Klangspot Nu Classical, Klangspot Nu Jazzical, Chilled Bear Recordings and Music Advisor Recordings, each exploring its own distinct universe of calm, creativity and modern instrumental expression.
