STILHED (Silence)
Danish producer Thomas Haahr is the creative mind behind Stilhed’s serene ambient soundscapes. For years, Haahr has honed his craft in his home studio, experimenting with analogue recording equipment, synths, and guitars. His meticulous attention to detail - particularly when it comes to frequencies and tones - has led him to become not just an engineer, but also a sound designer and composer. Stilhed was born in 2021 as a natural progression of Thomas' evolving musical instincts.
The project began with the EP Tundra, and has since evolved through a series of collaborative releases and explorations. In 2023, Stilhed released the debut full-length album Oeer via Valley View Records, featuring contributions from artists such as Broken Peak, Be Still the Earth, and Norvik.
Throughout 2024, Stilhed released the EPs Tyra, Munin, and Birka with Ambient Soundscapes, alongside sleep-focused singles and collaborations with Moderna Records and Mare Nostrum. In early 2025, Daze arrived via Moderna Records, followed by Wane on Slow Echo - an EP centered around warm, organic soundscapes and granular textures.
Looking ahead, Stilhed appears on the Echoes Blue Music x Silent Sonic Records compilation Winter Postcards with the collaborative track The Light We Carry (January 22, 2026), and will release the EP Aeralis via Valley View Records on February 19, 2026.
