A guitar and piano virtuoso sharing body and spirit with a visionary composer and articulate lyricist, Zeke distills the whim of mythos and the core of heroism in songs that feel more like stories. And as a self produced, self taught and self managed one..Zeke Sky is a case study in self-selfing, ruthlessly embodying the mandates that lyrically underscore his songs.
Zeke began sharing clips of his unique, masterful guitar playing via Facebook in 2017. A live band was formed in 2019 that opened for KINGS X on its opening night; subsequently, the first album released was 2022's "Intergalactic Demon King." Initially released independently, the album made its way to NUCLEAR BLAST label founder Markus Staiger, and Zeke was promptly signed, joining industry titans like OPETH, MESHUGGAH and HELLOWEEN on a label newly focused on physical distribution.
Drawing on mythology, history and themes of spiritual warriorhood, the lyrical commentary is both perspective laden and energy dense, designed to tread the line between epic poetry and heavy metal in equal proportion. Musically, it strikes a balance between pop rock, heavy metal, nu-metal and progressive metal.
