Zèra is a neosoul songstress who creates music that transcends genres. Formally trained in jazz, she incorporates influences stemming from R&B, soul, and hiphop to create an original, sonic landscape. Born in Montreal, Canada to Italian and Kurdish parents, she blends English, French, and Italian in her music to create a multicultural sound. With her soulful lyrics and raw vulnerability, she aims to create a space for third culture diaspora to be represented in their experiences.
Zèra has since moved to London to pursue a PhD in psychological sciences. Alongside her studies, she performs across the underground UK music scene and creates music as an independent artist, building herself from the ground up in an entirely new country. She has performed at many venues and festivals such as Montreal's International Jazz Festival, the Hip Hop You Don’t Stop Festival, Hockley Hustle in Nottingham, and other venues in London.
