Zilverzurf

Zilverzurf is the artist name for Johan Zachrisson, born 1956 in Sweden. 1978 Zilverzurf was part of the band <a href="spotify:artist:5xc7QMYy66lVY5XpDjMoOi" data-name="Dag Vag">Dag Vag</a> and were touring constantly in Scandinavia.1984 his first solo album <a href="spotify:album:6GQBuUDOr3vICkcGebwbdW" data-name="Panama">Panama</a> was released to critical acclaim. Johan Zilver also started to find his way into film music. 1988 saw the release of <a href="spotify:album:30TEenOGweCucX0CFRYRsz" data-name="Soil">Soil</a> where Johan explored his instrumental ambient visions. Ambient, african, reggae, indian, psychedelic and ethnographic music has always been
Johan´s key influences. 1992 the album <a href="spotify:album:3cPOi1icQJJpaVAxcC5L0Q" data-name="Ritmo De Estorninhos">Ritmo De Estorninhos</a> became the 15th best album alongside Yossoun Dour, Baba Maal, according to World Music Charts Europe. This year <a href="spotify:album:6UNmU8pI3NdfyMFAE8lM7u" data-name="Maneno Mataamu (Zilverzurf Remix 2024)">Maneno Mataamu (Zilverzurf Remix 2024)</a> was released, a song from the same album. The nineties Johan spent a lot of time in Portugal, Morrocco, India. These travels created lots of music, mainly instrumental, but also songs with guest vocalists, Desmond Foster, Papa Dee, Simone Moreno, Menad, Gopika &amp; Joy Chaoudri. Johan played the album <a href="spotify:album:0ylXbIKjzPaH01BoIxxHav" data-name="West Eastern Impressions">West Eastern Impressions</a> for Adrian Sherwood. He was working on a Lee Perry album at the time, so Adrian got the stems of a song he liked, and a new <a href="spotify:artist:1TsG4AumsMt1Tcq2nHpov9" data-name="Lee &#34;Scratch&#34; Perry">Lee &#34;Scratch&#34; Perry</a> version was born. <a href="spotify:track:7qxo3XdDnlnXRLxo4jb4cs" data-name="Exercising">Exercising</a> is the name, album <a href="spotify:album:5EBB4UhuGN7b6JYy3h1hPc" data-name="The Mighty Upsetter">The Mighty Upsetter</a>. Zilverzurf proudly is the co-producer and plays bass on a <a href="spotify:artist:1TsG4AumsMt1Tcq2nHpov9" data-name="Lee &#34;Scratch&#34; Perry">Lee &#34;Scratch&#34; Perry</a> song! Well, Zilver is continuing doing music, sometimes a documentary, a remix, sitting in with other groups, recording &amp; mixing fellow musicians.
