Ahmed El Ghazoly, aka ZULI (stylized in all caps), is a musician, producer, and sound artist from Cairo, Egypt.

Internationally, ZULI is best known for his boundary-pushing releases on Lee Gamble’s UIQ, including a string of EPs and his debut LP Terminal — a record that fuses experimental hip-hop, club music, and deep listening. His Trigger Finger EP, released via Italy’s Haunter Records, gained wide acclaim and was later remixed by artists like TSVI, AYA, and Acre.

In 2019, ZULI co-founded irsh with fellow Cairene DJ Rama — a project that began as a video series and evolved into a label and club night.

In Cairo, ZULI is recognized for his work in the hip-hop scene with rapper Abyusif, as well as his role in shaping the city’s electronic underground as part of the collective Kairo Is Koming (KIK). He co-founded the alternative music venue and club VENT (2013–2015), later transforming it into a namesake festival and club night.

ZULI’s diverse sound has earned support from a wide spectrum of artists including Aphex Twin, Autechre, Ben UFO, Bradley Zero, and Richie Hawtin. Recent releases include the album Lambda and the EP Care on Subtext Recordings.

He has hosted a monthly show on NTS Radio since 2016, regularly featuring guest mixes by emerging DJs and close collaborators.
