Aanu

Aanu is the non traditional Afrobeat, Neo soul/ R&B singer-songwriter with a husky voice and a vocal range with inflections of Jazz, R&B and Soul. She began singing at a young age and was heavily influenced by gospel artists & High life artists, later on discovering R&B/Soul artists such as Usher, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and Lauryn Hill. Described by friends as being an energetic spirit with tons of charisma; her attention to detail coupled with heartfelt lyrics and rich warm tone enables her to story-tell effortlessly.


‘U Gonna Make Me Fall In Love’ is the debut single from Afrobeat/R&B singer-songwriter Aanu. Coming from experienced heartbreak, this song captures Aanu’s journey on meeting an unexpected love and contemplating whether she should take the leap to be vulnerable and open to potential fall in love again.


She has worked with legendary producers in uk and Ghana such as Mj Cole, Jimmy Napes, DATBEATGOD, MikeMillzOnEm.


She has toured extensively with Blonde, performing at Lovebox, We Are Fstvl, Park Life & Boardmasters. Has also toured worldwide doing backing vocals for Mabel, Stormzy and many others.
