AAries
Twin-sister duo Ayana and Ayinké were born and raised in Arlington, VA. They are known for their rich harmonies, soulful depth, and the unmistakable musical chemistry. Their early gospel experiences laid the foundation for their artistry, shaping a sound rooted in soul, spirituality, and emotional honesty.
Their breakthrough arrived working closely with Musiq Soulchild, contributing their signature vocals to several of his classic recordings. Their voices appeared throughout his Freshman and Sophomore Albums, such as “Girl Next Door,” “Love,” “Forthenight,” and his celebrated rendition of “Settle for My Love.” AAries provided background and Lead vocals for artists including Joe, Chris Brown, Lee Fields, Skillz, and the acclaimed house-music collective Reel People on the dance-floor favorite “Don’t Give It Up.” Their talent also reached film and commercial audiences, with their song “Come Inside” featured on the Johnson Family Vacation soundtrack and a national Coca-Cola campaign featuring icons such as Questlove, Amel Larrieux, Angie Stone, and Musiq Soulchild.
After years of artistic growth and life evolution, AAries returned with renewed purpose through their EP YinkaYana. A deeply personal, soul-affirming project produced by Marcus Bryant with contributions from Ivan “Orthodox” Barias. Their single “Better Days” is a love song to the Black Community and their recent project is a reflection of strength, vision, and authenticity.
