AC Berkheimer from Rotterdam is part of the city’s alternative rock scene, which pitted dreamy, guitar-based pop against noisy experimental tendencies. The band made their recorded debut with an self-titled EP in 2006, and then proceeded to release their first debut-album ‘In a Series of Long Days’ in 2008.
2010’s ‘We tell them tonight’ continued the band’s foray into experimentation. The addition of Mellotrons, sonic noise and soothing vocals made AC Berkheimer’s sound an interesting cross between shoegaze and dreamy pop.
While recording their third album the band clearly found out how to be more explosive, emotional impact-full and dynamic. After the release of ‘Equation of State’ in 2013 the band took a hiatus. Since 2016 they’ve been working in a new form to develop and write new songs.
