Lavender Blush

Based in San Francisco, Lavender Blush is a noise pop group devoted to home recording, atmospherics, and analog warmth. Lifelong friends Ryan Lescure (vocals/guitar), Sam Hewatt (bass), and Chris Howard (drums) formed Lavender Blush in 2016 with the intention of projecting a glimmer of beauty into the cosmos. In service of that, Lavender Blush released a string of home recorded and self-released singles and EPs before releasing their debut LP The Garden of Inescapable Pleasure in 2020 and You Are My Moonlight in 2022.

Lavender Blush's forthcoming EP, There's Nothing Inside Your Heart, sees the addition of Chris Manchester on lead guitar and Julie Lynn (also of the San Francisco band Slowness) on vocals and guitar. Recorded and mixed by Phil Becker at El Studio in San Francisco, this EP also marks Lavender Blush's first foray into studio recording. This EP marks a more collaborative Lavender Blush than ever. Reverb pedals were dialed back and fuzz pedals were dialed up. The FSA and MBV records stayed on the shelf while the Bunnymen and Germs records lived on the turntable. Never looking back and only looking forward, Lavender Blush seeks to make music that is true to their vision and resonant for you.
