ACEL is considered as one of the OPM alt rock Queens that has one of the most resonant voices in the Philippines. She is known for the hit songs: Torete, Sulat, and Pag-Ibig Kong Ito in the early 2000s.
After a 4 yr hiatus in 2004, Acel started performing again as a solo artist in 2008. She recorded theme songs for telenovelas and movies. Some of these songs are: "One Love, " for the K-drama Spring Walts; " Kahit Isang Saglit for the movie, Ikaw and 'Your Universe' for the movie, Between Maybes.
In 2019 Acel released her songs under DNA Label of Star Music, this includes : Pitik Bulag, Alaala, Lagi Na Lang, and Mula Ngayon.
In 2021 she started releasing her songs independently. The songs were: Bawat Paghinga and Nais Lumaya, then in 2022 Acel released a contemplative song called, Buhangin, which was nominated at Awit Awards, and an indie pop vibe music entitled, “If You Only Knew.”
In 2024, Acel released her 7-track album, Being and Becoming, which talks about security in one's uniqueness and peace amidst chaos. She hopes that the songs will bring healing and encouragement to listeners.
