What happens when a 15 year-old girl writes a song about love? You form a band of course! Thus, Dotty’s World was born.
It was in 2017 when Dotty Chan, singer/songwriter of the band, wrote “Wala Naman Pala”, a song about unrequited crush, while in class during a boring lull. She then began performing onstage as a solo artist. But soon realized that this is not what she wanted. She dreamt of performing with a band. With help of her dad, they formed a ragtag team of musicians and after several lineup changes, endng up with the present composition.
Dotty’s World began performing all around Metro Manila and nearby provinces, with guesting stints on campuses, coliseums, bars, malls, TV and FM Radio.
Dotty’s World signed a recording contract with Universal Records Philippines on September 2018 and they released their single “You and Me” on February 15, 2019 on all digital platforms.
They are currently on the roster of artists under DITTO Music Philippines and are set to release their first single under the label this September 2022.
Dotty’s World is composed of Ethan Chan, Mc Altura, Lanz Vivero and Dotty Chan.
With several new songs that caters to both the young and the not-so-young, Dotty’s World continues to impress with their millennial sound.
