"Aeuria" is an ambient alias and music project created by Lucas James, who is a Composer, Filmmaker and Photographer based in Gibsons, BC (Canada). Aeuria was first designed to allow a "safe space" for his ambient music to exist outside of composition and sync work - but as Lucas grew closer to the project over the 15 years it has existed, it became a part of him.
Originating as a project that used 100% foley, and recorded sound taken from his years at Film School - the music embraces the imperfect and abandons genre, form, or messaging. After scoring films like Tilt (Netflix) and An Entanglement, Lucas brought back his years as a guitarist and hobby piano player into the music - landing at a place that is a marriage of the experimental film score and ambient umbrella.
