Stockholm-based producer and musician August Bäckman releases music under the moniker AGST. August has always been passionate about music. Inspired by his grandfather, a skilled jazz pianist, he started improvising at an early age, experimenting with modulations and texture. With a learn-by-doing approach, he continued to craft his skills and armed with nothing more than his computer he later started producing and developed his own style. With a unique and uplifting sound, AGST creates vibrant and energetic melodies accompanied by hard bass-lines. His dynamic compositions build from the ground up with increasing tension, waiting just long enough before he hits the listener with a massive drop followed by an infectious groove.
