Aja is the project of Clémence Quélennec, French artist most widely known for her work with French band La Femme. Her adventure with La Femme lasted for 10 years before she decided to take a long break and move to Morocco. There, she took the time to do what she does best : research and experimentation in the quest for the perfect sound.
Field recording, sampling, skimming through infinite textures and plugins. Her first solo EP Solitaire, released in 2019, paved the way for a more ambient sound, before releasing Ajasphere vol.1 in 2021.
"Aja" being her artist name, and "sphere" representing her englobing vision that guides her search for a sound capable of telling a story, setting a context.
