Alconaut is a stoner band started in 2016 in Bastia, Corsica
with Georges Agostini on vocals and guitar,
Kevin Albertini on bass, and Antoine-
Joseph Marini on drums.
The band started by playing
covers, essentialy from the Stoner genre, covering artists such as Fu Manchu, Sleep, Black Sabbath, The Sword etc ...
After a few live shows, the group wanted to go further and began to bring everyone's influences together to realize their first album entitled "Sand Turns To Tide ”, in which the band sets a universe inspired by everything in the Stoner genre, helped by the compositions, illustrations
and design produced by one of the group's members.
Alconaut acquires a complete and
immersive imagery that allows the listener to find a universe fantastic, made of colossal mastodons hammering the dunes of a desert transported by a sand whale or a furious biker speeding across the mountains of this world but the main theme is about the Alconaut (found in the song "Space Controller") which is a space explorer roaming the universe looking for every alcoholic drink that exists.
Their second album, "Endless skies" sets a darker mood, with themes revloving around introspection, and self-search, while digging deeper into the universe set in their debut album, while being still illustrated by their drummer
