Alec Baker

Alec Baker is the moniker of the eclectic guitarist and music producer Viktor Jansåker from Malmö, Sweden. His music could be described as a mix between RnB and Indie presented in a left field, lofi fashion.

Alec Baker’s new EP 'Cool Down' is a set of four songs that blends lush indie guitars with deep 808s. If you listen carefully you might feel that the lyrics tells different perspectives of a love story.

On his debut single, ’Sunslide’ (2019) he enlisted the help from Summer Heart and London-based rapper Tony Jian for vocal duties. On the follow up single ‘Lava Pool’, Alec Baker's dreamy vocals were front and centre. The reverb-drowned jazz guitar solo over self-recorded birds singing is a creative statement of his aspirations to blur the lines between genres.

Alec Baker’s debut mini-album “Ballet” (2021) was made with a plethora of friends, notably David Alexander (Summer Heart) and Ludvig Parment (Saturday, Monday). The result is a melee of piano chords, synths, iphone recordings and forlorn vocals, with truly visceral results.
