Alessandro Baris is a musician, composer and electronic music producer.
His debut solo album “Sintesi”, featuring vocals of Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), Emma Nolde and Lisa Papineau, has been released in 2022.
The album was played on BBC 6 music and Radio 3 and had video premieres on Brooklyn Vegan and Rolling Stone.
On tour Baris has supported Trentemoeller, Rafael Anton Irisarri and Daniela Pes.
His live and studio collaborations include L’Altra, Pinhdar, A Toys Orchestra, JoyCut, Pulseprogramming, C’mon Tigre, Paul Savage (Mogwai), with performances and festival appearances at CMJ (New York), Europavox (Wien) Proximos (Santa Cruz de Tenerife), Robot (Bologna), Centre des Arts (Paris), Kento’s (Shanghai), Club101 (Beijing), Sala Nasti (Madrid), Schubas (Chicago), Alcatraz (Milan), Ancienne Belgique (Brussels), Cameo Gallery (Brooklyn) amongst others.
He is also active as a composer and performer in live soundtracks for silent films.
