Guitarist, songwriter and producer, Alexandre Elias was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His work is a blend of Bossa Nova, Samba-Jazz and Jazz Hop, resulting in a sound that Elias himself calls Carioca Jazz.
Always playing his T52 Butterscotch Fender Telecaster, his approach to playing Bossa Nova is fresh and bold, mixing elements of Blues and Contemporary Jazz.
Alexandre Elias has studied Contemporary Music composition, jazz arrangement and jazz orchestration with maestros Moacir Santos and Ian Guest.
His award-winning work in theater and dance as a soundtrack composer includes collabs with artists such as internationally recognized director and choreographer Deborah Colker (Cirque Du Soleil’s “Ovo”) and Brazilian Latin Grammy winner Nelson Motta.
