Exploring the intersections of punk, queer pop and alternative rock, Chicana punk legend Alice Bag has been active in music since 1977, when she was the lead singer and co-founder of the Bags, one of the first bands to form during the initial wave of punk rock. The Alice Bag Band was featured in the 1981 music doc, The Decline of Western Civilization. Her self-titled 2016 debut album was named one of the best albums of the year by AllMusic. Her 2018 album, Blueprint, was named one of the Best Albums of 2018 by NPR and the Los Angeles Times. Her third album Sister Dynamite will be released in Spring 2020.
