Alison David, originally from South London, started her career as a street performer after dropping out of a maths degree at university. Alison's music is primarily ‘jazzy psychedelic soul funk’. Her first release was with Life’s Addiction and she has collaborated on many records covering various dance genres including Red Snapper on the Making Bones Album, and Black Science Orchestra. Alison’s signature song, Dreams Come True, made famous by Afronaught, has been remixed and released three times as a dance record even though the original is a ballad on her 2004 album Believe. Alison's overall message can be found in her lyrics, encouraging a togetherness environment where everybody loves each other and everyone is happy. She has sung at music festivals around the world including Glastonbury, worked as a cover artist and knows over 100 years of songs off by heart. A great example of this is on her album, 2017 Fly Me To The Moon.

Alison is also a Musical Medicine Woman and coach, and her tagline is ‘Free Your True Voice.’ She works with people to overcome mental health struggles and feelings of isolation. She teaches how to change your mindset into something more positive, how it’s so important to verbalise your feelings, whether good or bad, and how the power of music can help you do that. She released her first mantra and meditation album Mmmm in 2020, has since helped many people create their own mantras and is currently working on a new collaborative mantra album.
