An idea slowly pieced together over the 2020 lockdown, Am Jams is a new alias from Manchester based DJ and producer <a href="spotify:artist:4n11sJzNp7JjBQw9sDze9Z" data-name="Murder He Wrote">Murder He Wrote</a>. Whereas MHW is more widely associated with bass heavy strains of UK Funky, Garage and Dubstep, Am Jams is a chance to explore slower tempos and House music in general.
Of the project he says: “With so much time away from clubs last year I found myself writing a lot of different styles of music. In some ways not having to worry about having fresh stuff to play in my own sets was cathartic, allowing me to just jam out ideas purely for their own sake rather than needing to fit into the context of my sets or previous releases. Am Jams (short for amateur jams) is my outlet for those bits & pieces”.
The debut single 'In Too Deep' ft. <a href="spotify:artist:2VfrwdPCnO4CTVVdj4wcY2" data-name="Maddie Ellerby">Maddie Ellerby</a> drops this April.
